Drs. Oliphint and PoythressDoctrine of Scripture Seminars

Did God Really say...?

Six scholars. Three seminaries. One very important issue.

From right within the evangelical and Reformed communities, the doctrine of Scripture is facing fresh challenges. We must listen carefully and understand these criticisms. We must not caricature the critics, but we must critique the caricatures, correct the errors, and positively articulate the doctrine of Scripture in a way that is right and relevant.

2011 Conference on Science and Faith

Science and Faith

God and Materialism: Are human beings and the rest of nature the result of purposeful design or undirected matter and energy?

This year's theme is "God and Materialism."  Conference sessions will examine the conflicting worldviews of theism and materialism; the widespread impact of materialism on science, ethics, society, Biblical studies and theology; the latest scientific evidence against materialism and for intelligent design in biology and cosmology; and the positive implications of modern science for theism.

Dr. Mohler gave the fourth annual Gaffin Lecture, "On the Other Side of Complexity: Christian Conviction in the Late Modern Age."  His lecture comes from a famous Oliver Wendell Holmes quote: "I would not give a fig for the simplicity this side of complexity, but I would give my life for simplicity on the other side of complexity."

Adding a Biblical Worldview Using the Westminster Confession of Faith

We were honored to have Chuck Colson as our keynote speaker. Chairman and Founder of The Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, he has turned his heart and mind to training a new generation of leaders to renew the church and revitalize the culture. "...Our job is to expose the Lie and replace it with the Truth of a biblical understanding of all of reality."
