The Worship and Arts Director is responsible for the oversight and coordination of worship and music ministry of the Union Church of Istanbul. Our worship services are blended in style, with an emphasis on contemporary Christian and contemporary instrumentation, and with some expression of traditional hymnody as well. The Director will have a strong testimony of a commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and will also be able to work with a multi-cultural congregation representing many different nations.
BA degree in Music Education or Church Music from a Christian college preferred. Preferred 2+ years leading a congregation with primary focus on contemporary worship; ability to organzie and lead musicians. Participating as vocalist and keyboard artist preferred. Initial 2 year contract with option for longer term.
