With thanks to God, Westminster Theological Seminary is pleased to welcome Mr. Jerry Timmis as Vice President of Advancement, Engagement and Strategy. Beginning August 1, Jerry will lead the advancement team and help lead strategic planning and organization at Westminster. He will also focus on enriching engagement with Westminster’s students, faculty, donors, and friends.
Jerry is an ordained ruling elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. He served most recently at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Ada, MI. Since he and his wife Alyson’s days in student ministry at Michigan State University, Jerry’s ministry has consistently centered on leadership strategy, hospitality and evangelism. Jerry later returned to lead that student ministry as Director for four years where he continued to minister through outreach, and discipling domestic and international students. Jerry and Alyson have been married for 30 years. They have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
In addition to his commitment to biblical ministry, Jerry brings a passion for faithful stewardship to his role at Westminster. This passion carries with it decades of business development strategy experience. Jerry has served in leadership and sales executive positions in the high tech industry for more than 22 years. At companies such as Oracle and Salesforce, he has helped to drive business transformation in the world’s largest organizations. He has also provided business development leadership for technology startups and worked in change management consulting.
Please join us in joyfully welcoming Jerry and Alyson, and in giving thanks for their commitment to our seminary.
