The Master of Divinity is the most comprehensive course of study for men and women to become trained specialists in the Bible. It combines robust, reformed, exegetical-theological studies and preparation of the heart to care for Christ’s church in a broad range of vocational callings.

IS THE MDIV ONLY FOR MEN?
No. The MDiv has been designed for men and women pursuing various vocational callings.
I WANT TO BECOME A PASTOR. IS THE MDIV RIGHT FOR ME?
The MDiv in General Ministry may well prepare you for pastoral ministry, offering Westminster’s full, integrated curriculum with the flexibility of online and residential courses. However, students pursuing pastoral ministry, who are also able to attend residential courses may also benefit from the MDiv Pastoral Fellows program.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH AN MDIV DEGREE?
The MDiv General Ministry degree will prepare you to serve in a wide range of vocations. While certainly not limited to this list, students will be prepared to serve in: Seminary Leadership, Cross-cultural Ministry, Christian Education, Homeschool Parenting, Ministry/Administrative Directors, and Church Pastorate.
I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT. CAN I STILL PURSUE MY MDIV?
Yes. Westminster’s dedicated admissions team provides international students with the information and tools necessary to pursue an MDiv degree whether online or residential.
WHAT MDIV SCHOLARSHIPS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE?

HOW LONG IS THE MDIV PROGRAM?
The MDiv in General Ministry requires 111 credit hours and can be completed in three or four years. The standard track is four years. The three-year track is much more intense and demanding but certainly possible for the determined student. The coursework can also be completed on a part-time schedule, with the requirement that all credits are completed within 10 years. What are the differences between online and on-campus formats?
All class formats deliver the same high-quality course material taught by our faculty. On-campus programs require students to take courses at our campus in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Online programs deliver courses through state-of-the-art digital platforms and are designed to be more flexible with scheduling.
Can an online student take residential classes?
Yes, however, all residential courses will be billed at the residential tuition rate and scholarships will not apply. Taking residential courses is also subject to seat availability.
Can I audit online courses?
No, auditing is currently not available.
